Because the policy is unique to these specific routes, I've found some crew confused the premium transcon E+ alcohol rule with international flights' rule (beer and wine only) or GS/1K rule (1 drink only). Perhaps they need to add the expectation as part of the meal print out add it to the pre-flight briefing.
