The fact that the immigration area at PRG has been revamped has made it easier than in the past. But they could have put up a centralised security area just after that. The security checks at the gates are a pain.....
Agreed, it also does not seem to make security sense. I think it might be just the space restrictions, though would be curious to know about their rationale altogether, especially with the new duty free area built right after passport control.
