Redeemed for 2 Travel Packages: 1 from my account and 1 from the wife's. I still have tons of points left but unlikely that we will be taking that much vacation in the next 12 months.
1. Cat 1-5 with 120K AA miles requested on 8/13. No miles posted as of 8/15 and cert left unattached.
2. Cat 9 with 132K UA miles requested on 8/14 (yesterday). Miles have posted as of today evening so ~24 hours. Attached the Cat 9 cert to a London hotel going up to 60K per night. Not sure if I'll make the trip but its been on the cards and didn't want to let this pass by.
I am considering attaching the Cat 1-5 cert to a speculative reservation on a hotel going up in points just in case Marriott gets generous and upgrades the cert to the higher value. Any thoughts?
