Cultural destination near Buenos Aires or Rio?
Mrs. EssexNYC and I took our kids to Peru last summer, and our two favorite stops (aside from Macchu) were Lake Titicaca (learning about local culture on Taquile island and a stop at an untoursted reed island) an Cuzco (wandering through beautiful old city).
is there anything close to either of these type of experiences close to either Buenos Aires or Rio? The two of us are panning next July to fly into BA and home from Rio a week and a day later. I was planning a day or two in BA, a couple of days at Iguazu Falls, a couple of days in Rio, and a couple of days on the coast. My wife is not enthused about Iguazu and would like to see and interact with interesting locals.
