How long does ORC typically take? Flew 2 weeks ago, called in to claim ORC a week later; no change in credit/correspondence to date.

When itin went pear shape, first flight exLGA cancelled, I inquired about taking CX exJFK and was told by agents on two different calls that this was not possible as UA doesn't have an interline agreement with CX (both were verbatim the same). When trying to understand the statement in light of UA selling CX HKG-BKK et al they claimed that was different. I let it go but curious if in fact there is a distinction. FWIW the cancellation was probably due to WX the night before precluding the arrival of aircraft and it would have been reasonable to deny OAL based upon WX but figured I'd inquire all the same.
