I wouldn't exactly call it a crisis here. I don't think many people actually park bikes inside their houses, but behind a hedge is fair game. Furthermore, this problem will cease to exist as more new bikes come online. The cool thing about the current generation of bike sharing is that you can leave them pretty much anywhere that is safe for the bike.
