Redeeming NW miles on another airline
I would like to send my wife and daughter on direct America West flights to YVR or IND rather than slogging through NW hubs, and I have 75K WorldPoints available.
Has anyone on this forum ever successfully redeemed NW miles to obtain flights on America West (or any other airline, such as Alaska, for that matter)? I can see the NWA website where they say it is possible, but short of calling the airlines up, I don't see any electronic means of accomplishing this goal.
Do I call NorthWest or America West? Am I likely to succeed? I have also posted this in the HP forum.
