Not sure if anyone is in the same boat as me and my friends. We created new IB accounts during the promo period, but due to lags on the website we somehow clicked create account twice and inadvertently have created 2x IB accounts at the same time. All of us have used the account that has been created the latest to book the 10 tickets (as we did not realize that duplicate accounts have been created) and have not touched the original account.

Fast forward to July we got e-mails from IB stating that they have cancelled our new accounts (that we actually used to book) as they are duplicates. We have since then been trying to clarify with IB both via phone and e-mail on whether the bookings will be transferred to the original account (that has not been cancelled) but we are only getting the standard response (we have forwarded your response to the relevant department). We haven't received any rejections at all but have just not heard back from anyone.

Anyone been able to get their points credited successfully in a similar situation as us?
