Can Alaska make SEA a baby LAX?

Everyone understandably hates connecting in LAX. It's a mess. With Alaska's expansion eastward from its hub in SEA, could Alaska feed passengers toward Asian departures from Seattle. Skip the mess in LAX, and connect in Seattle?!

The problem now is 1) Alaska serves only primary locations (EWR, ORD, DC) in the East which already have non-stop flights to most Asian destinations, and 2) most current airlines serving Asia from SEA are not partners with Alaska (ie EVA, China Air, Asiana)

Say Alaska works to bring some flights into SEA from some second tier eastern cities without flights to Asia such as New Orleans, Kansas City, St. Louis etc. and works hard with Cathay, NWA etc to add a trip to a new destination! It's great for both airlines, the eastern feeder cities, and the Port of Seattle.

Think it will happen?
