Even if the bag tags fell off / were ripped off or are somehow defaced, that is the purpose of the personal tag you affix. It is also sensible to put the same information on top of the inside of the case. A copy of the e-ticket is a good example.
As others note, raising a fuss and having TLV email BOS is a complete and utter waste of time. If the bag did not arrive within 1-2 flights, it most likely was loaded on another aircraft, perhaps LY and is sitting somewhere else in the world. It could have even have made it to BOS fallen off a cart and been loaded onto a flight headed out of BOS to somewhere in the world.
That is the entire purpose of WorldTracer. Bags go missing every day. The percentage is rather small. The number of bags which are actually lost and not recovered is miniscule.
