Ah, the net of everything. Gotcha. I already have a Visa, so no need to open another one. I try to keep things to a minimum. I see one of the big benefits of the Plat card is automatic status at hotels and car rentals.
Just curious what the credit rating penalty might be if I close a card and open another one (the $550 is steep if you end up not using all the benefits).
