Thank you very much everyone.
Called JAL and they said No.
But thats the reason I asked the question- I am not 100% sure the answer is correct. Depending on the check-in agent, they might go the extra mile. But since check-in at GMP is mostly handled by KE I guess I better travel with carry-on this time.
