I always just stop by an ATM if I need dirhams. They are easy to find in any city and of course the airport.
If you are driving, make sure to have some bribery cash to hand over to the local police. About $5 worth should do it in my experience. Or just drive very slow in the cities and strictly obey all laws. I got stopped a couple times for going just a smidge too fast.
