I have never had this experience myself. And it would be a bit of an inconvenience given my other half is in a wheelchair. Not something you want to go back and forth and back and forth with all the time, vs. handing me two glasses and calling it a day - or at least a few minutes between beverages.
Perhaps something's happened there recently. But I have yet to experience this restriction.
