IMHO......It doesn't matter if it's a 777 or 788/9, you will hear the galley noise in 1A/K and often in 2A/K. It really depends on whether your crew are cart & door-slammers. And the curtains are often not kept closed with pax and crew going back and forth. Same applies to seats close to the mid-galley (on the 777s that have them). YMMV and wear ear-plugs
