Thanks to both of you for the quick reply. The merchant is Blue Nile. I had read that about going above $7,500 and not getting the credit so I already confirmed with Blue Nile that they could charge me $7,500 exactly to avoid taking a chance on missing out on the 37.5k miles.

Also, I should note I have the CSR, Amex Platinum, and Marriott Premier as my current credit cards.
