I've had the same plane (and often same crew) more than once, and not on mileage run RTs or anything like that.

BOS-ATL-SAT, 2013: I got off the plane in ATL, walked up the jetway, looked at the connections monitor, and saw "San Antonio - A38". I then looked around to see how far I had to go for my connection...and realized I was at A38. Same seat on both legs, too!

BOS-MSP-SFO-HNL, 2015: BOS-MSP was late (A320), but they held MSP-SFO just long enough for the ~12 connecting pax to make it (and we came in two gates away). MSP-SFO was a 753, and so was our connection to HNL...same a/c. (And once again, same seats.)
