I have a handful of orphaned Accor points that are going to expire soon and otherwise have no real use for. I was hoping to be able to use them to book a room for a friend who will be staying at an Accor property in a couple months.
In the past I have been able to do this using the printed vouchers, but it seems that option is no longer available. The booking screen seems to be hard coded to only permit the account holder name.
Any other way to book a room in another name using points? Or is the only option to get some value out of the points to transfer them to some airline before they expire?
