You have 24 hrs from the time you click purchase at aa.com, so the answer is A.
There's no way it could be based on the actual ticketing time, since this can be all over the board depending on complexity of ticket, partner carriers involved, etc. The actual ticketing time is also not easily disclosed to the traveler anywhere that I'm aware of.
