Best options for booking cottages
Having no experience in the matter, I wonder if people here can advise me about the best sites to book cottages. This is for an England trip. A few days in a countryside "cottage" would be nice. I am also always trying to maximize loyalty/card points and such. Which sites do you folk turn to for something like this?
I prefer not to use AirBnB or VRBO or that kind of portal (for various reasons, but let's just leave it at that). I am aware of cottages.com - where you can also earn Wyndham points if I am not mistaken. What about Amex Travel - do they offer access to these types of properties? Any of FHR, LHC or other "collections", or any other route? Please remember - I have no experience to call on when it comes to this.
