In general terms, it might be better to compare TPS to element and RI to Homewood.

Based on very limited data points, RIs have better breakfast than TPS (I've been told that turkey bacon several times a week is a brand standard versus sausage in some form, usually horrid looking patties, every day, plus RIs seem to have cut melon just about every morning and better variety and quality of pastries). RIs like Homewood have evening receptions three or four times a week, although the newish RI standard makes the food worse than before. Also RI/Homewood is primarily one bedroom suites with full sized kitchen appliances (although usually, except in two bedroom units, not stoves with ovens rather than just cooktop elements--and microwaves of course), versus TPS/element where the typical unit is a standard bedroom (with some form of sofa/sofabed/ small sitting area) with the kitchenette and small appliances.

This TPS seems to be one of the new ones with the IKEA style furniture and rather good work desk (with only one chair, that doubles as a dining table and chair, so it's really meant for one person).
