I highly recommend the Gritti Palace. I stayed there in the Fall of 2016 after a journey on the Orient Express train from London to Venice. I redeemed points for my stay & it was well worth it - especially since I was upgraded to a lavish multi room suite as an SPG Plat. The restaurant breakfast buffet and canal view were great. The hotel location was ideal. You’ll enjoy it! Perfect for an aspirational trip! I’ll have to start thinking about planning an aspirational trip of my own soon while I can get exceptional value from my SPG points!
