I think the thing is that it's not fully clear. VS advertises the UC wing as being for UC & D1 customers. However, DL DM's and PM's are also told they are able to check at UC check in. So it's vague.
Indeed, to the uninitiated that would sound like the drive-thru checkin, though I suppose to more seasoned VS travellers this would mean the business class checkin desks in the main departures area, which is my interpretation. I agree, it is vague.
