Except LTPP is not full PP as we do not get the best perk of hitting 75 nights. We are partial PPs in that we only get the room guarantee and the extra points and I do not see that changing. I would expect any real enhancement to PP will exclude LTPP. Again, because it is a dead tier of old timers, there is no marketing incentive to increase the benefits like there would be for qualifying PPs who are actually staying in the hotels in big numbers.

Marriott miscalculated when throwing a bone to present MR LTP to keep from having it appear they were being demoted to the same level as present MR LTGs or SPG LTPs who had a much lower nights requirement. It is clear that Marriott was looking to get rid of the top tier MR LTP and go with the SPG levels while not making it look obvious that MR LTPs were being dropped down a notch. It is not about having a tier of old timers that will forever be treated better. It was about killing off that tier, merging it to the tier below but not making that look so obvious.
