Many Android devices can do this too (WiFi Sharing), but it is prohibited in the .air T&C's. Not sure how they manage it though?
The only way they could prevent this is by somehow filtering out specific MAC addresses by vendor ID - highly unlikely and pretty much impossible for bona fide Android devices. Wouldn’t go around and advertise it to the crew though...
