Inflammatory isn't the right word. Hyperbolic perhaps, but all quite clear once OP clarified first 4 rows and a reasonable person could extrapolate from that as to what is likely to have occured.
As to the explanation, as mentioned by an earlier poster it seems quite obvious that either the head count was off or there was a mismatch with a pax trying to board who showed as already onboard. I've seen it on other airlines. All quite routine and not very news worthy
