I would not kvetch about this anywhere but FlyerTalk.
I walked up to the SFO AC bar (some patrons sitting with a drink, but no queue) and found one bartender slowly preparing three very complicated drinks - each made with apple slices, syrup, and god knows what else. A second bartender was cleaning/wiping down the bar. The first bartender asked me what I'd like and said it would be a moment.
I waited 10 minutes, and during this time:
- At least one other person ordered a drink from the second bartender and received it immediately
- The first bartender bantered with the apple-drink recipients prior to starting on my drink
I feel bad to complain because everybody was very nice and ultimately I was just unfortunate to have queued behind three lengthy orders. I did receive a brief apology for my wait. Nonetheless, I was displeased (due to my two bullet points above), and while I have always tipped at least $2/drink at ACs past, this time I simply smiled and said thanks.
