That's BS. The reason you got a refund from WM is because the funds never got to MG. If the funds never got to MG, what's their claim on a fee ?
If the funds had gotten to MG and never made it to the account you were paying, you would have had to get a refund from MG, and they still wouldn't deserve the fee because they would have screwed-up.
But I am sympathetic to wanting to get it over with.
