As noted the 777-200 is a bit of lottery, so if you get the opportunity to switch to a refurbished 747 to JFK (e.g. if BA changes the flight times) then I would do so. But if you are on a 777-300 then that's a good option, the IFE is the Thales system which is a reasonable offering. They have also improved the catering in World Traveller so you won't leave the aircraft hungry.
