Yes, I also applied for a HSBC Premier World Elite MC to replace my Marriott Visa. I think the features are pretty good for a "free" card if one is a HSBC Premier customer. Even if not, after deducting the $100 travel credit at $49 is still pretty attractive.
The upcoming changes to the Rogers MC are great disappointment. I probably shall not be using that card very much post May 2018.
