As to the Sedona CY. It's newly built pristine property and in a very good location if one takes into account Sedona's growing traffic congestion issues ( which are intense in specific seasons or events ).

The CY is located in west Sedona literally at the edge of town across the road from the Diamond timeshare resort & astride the high school. It's a good location in terms of easy access & less traffic. We've not stayed at this CY as we now live in Sedona ( actually 6 miles south in Village of Oak Creek ). But we did stop in one day to take a look at the property and it looks very nice.

There are 2 Hiltons in Sedona. The Hampton Inn is located @ 1.5 mi from the CY in the heart of West Sedona. We've stayed at this Hampton ( last time 2015 befre we move to AZ) & it's clean & comparable to a Marriott FFI product. A few restaurants in "possible" walking distance but one must safely cross at intersections due to traffic. So in this sense one is likely to need a car at either CY or HI. The other Hilton property is the Bell Rock resort located where we live in Oak Creek. Cheapest rooms there are $300.

When are you visiting Sedona? How old are the kids & do you intend to hike or take in regional sites? Either Sedona property has you 5-10 minutes from trails in uptown Sedona. Flagstaff is @ 45 miles north of Sedona & a good destination by itself ( & a bit cooler in summer as it's altitude is 3500 ft higher ). Grand Canyon would be 90 miles north of Flagstaff. Slippery Rock state park is a natural red rock swim park that fills up fast in summer & an alternative idea if you visit when temps are higher.

Lots of things to do here and never enough time, even when you live here
Enjoy your visit.
