I will emphasise that this is not guaranteed to happen. Certainly if there's any issue with posting, or IrrOps occur, and a subsequent retroclaim is necessary, the chances of a happy outcome diminish even further. The OP also suggests using a Joker, which would pretty much guarantee it wouldn't given that would have to go through BA direct!
If anyone is basing a qualification decision on getting those points, it's a risky strategy.
