Well after receiving my APEC card I was excited to try and use it at the Shenzhen Bay border crossing from HK-China this Saturday morning. Unfortunately, I could see no signs for APEC card holders. Security staff pointed me to the regular foreigners line, which took about 30 minute wait as there were only 2 lines open and processing of foreigners seemed very slow with the new fingerprint requirements.
There was a "Special" lane, but that seemed filled with elderly Chinese citizens.
Anybody have some insight on Shenzhen bay? I saw some info in this thread that APEC lane was clearly marked. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything.
Ugh I miss crossing in the car but I think those days are over.
You're supposed to use the "Special" lane. When I was there in January, there was clear signage in English, on who was eligible to use the special lane. APEC was listed on it.
