Non-stop services between SJO and Europe:

LGW - British Airways
CDG - Air France (operates in PTY too).
ZRH - Edelweiss
MAD - Iberia (operates in PTY too).
AMS - KLM (operates in PTY too).
FRA - Lufthansa (operates in PTY too).

Other option is FRA or MUC on Condor with a quick stop in SDQ.
