I realise now I should have, just so the attendant could be prepared for it and exercise appropriate caution if needed. However, I had already asked for the cabin to be changed, and when I found this, I was so intent on getting to the shower, it fled my mind when I passed him. When I got back, the change-over had already been completed. I FB-messaged Amtrak for details on their blanket cleaning procedures, with the same pic attached. I'll let you know those details as this is pretty concerning.
