You really need to hit the reward seats as soon as they're released.
BA Redemption Finder is your friend. Our next CPT was found and booked on 17 Jan 18 for outbound 8 Dec 18, returning 23 Dec 18. And you're right - reward seats are snapped up very quickly.
Good use of a 2-4-1? Well, paying £500 each in T&F on a route that usually costs [in J] about £4,000 each seems good to me. And as there is no way we would spend £8k on air tickets, it's the only way we could ever get there!!
