IMO Chase points are worth slightly more because I think the transfer partner menu is slightly better. In particular, you can transfer UR to KE, Hyatt, and UA, which are three of the best programs for using points.
The Chase cards also provide excellent travel protection, which the AMEX Plat does not.
So you are giving a little something up in exchange for 5x points on airfare purchases.
