Usually unless a change happens, your status is stamped as what it is when you book. For example, if you book as a PLT but then qualify for EXP before flying that trip, it still shows you as PLT (unless you call in and have them remove and re-add the FF#). Similarly, if you were PLT when you booked and lost status, barring a change, it will still show you as PLT.
Thats different than what I experienced this time. I was Gold when i booked. And I was still showing gold when I flew out 2/5. I have not made any adjustments to my flight and when i checked in yesterday my boarding pass shows I’m a lowly member but I preserved my MCE seat
this is going to look weird for my expenses for having no baggage fee outgoing but incoming I’m going to have a baggage fee.
