For our New Year's trip (Bay Area - ZRH/MXP, 3 seats, miles+copay) all but the SFO-JFK leg cleared Y to J. MXP-JFK cleared about 1 week before our trip, JFK-ZRH ~T24, and ORD-SJC at the gate.
