Sailing off the North Island
Going to meet some friends who are sailing around the world on the North Island, NZ. (Last caught up with them in the Marquesas.) . Anyone with experience sailing in the Bay of Islands or around Whangarei?

1. Best way to get to these ports? Rent a car? Or other transportation.
2. Distance from ALK?
3. Where would you sail for a week to 10 days?
