I find this varies from crew to crew and most recently they have always served wine with the meal. I prefer it as it's a lot of stuff to keep on your tiny table otherwise.
Just flew LHR-YYZ. No pretzels, no ice cream. No cheese but once I asked they found some. New sandwich box for second meal though and snacks at the back of the plane. Frustrating that BA haven't managed to roll this out consistently though.
