I paid for a sea view room at the J.W. Marriott Marquis, but there was no sea view and not because of obstruction from construction. I ended up getting a certificate for wine and dinner at the steakhouse atop the hotel.
Lucky you get any upgrade on points. Upgrades under MR are at the discretion of the property.
Still with those pictures -- how can the call this hotel Downtown Dubai. Downtown Dubai means near the Mall.
