A (mostly) positive review of the new WT catering in the Times/Sunday Times. The main meal received very good reviews, (apart from the cheese), including particular mention of a couscous salad starter, a chicken casserole main and a chocolate pot dessert. He was less effusive about the 2nd meal, a chicken caesar sandwich that apparently contained little filling, with a mini-Toblerone that was criticised for not being British enough...
In a major surprise, it's only on LHR-JFK so far
, so I guess there is possibility of enhancements before it gets rolled out further, but it has to be good news for WT pax. He was a lot less keen on the WT hard product on an "ageing 747-400", with unflattering comparisons to DY, QR, EK (yes, I know the latter 2 don't fly west from London, don't shoot the messenger...).
Overall though, some good news in the press for BA. Below link should be accessible without paying if you haven't exceeded free article allowance, though requires registration.
