Upgrading an AAward
Hello -
If I book an economy award from NA to Europe on AA metal for 30k each way, and 4 months from now, saver level Biz class availability opens up (lol, when pigs fly maybe), can I call to upgrade my Y to J and just pay the incremental 27.5k miles, or do I need to pay $150 to cancel the award and then rebook it as a new one?
If I'm Plat Pro, is the $150 for cancelling an award waived?
