I think it was the opposite actually? People who booked the NH YVR-SYD mistake fare on UA 016 stock were able to request alternate routings when the cradle seat appeared on the YVR-HND-YVR route, and those who booked on NH 205 stock were, um, declined routing changes by ANA.
