I didn't read much of the text above, but I'll tell you this -
Unless Chase has a logical reason to close your checking account too, they won't. What I mean by that: inactivity, keeping a negative balance for too long, never funding the account, or bouncing checks left and right.
As to your CC account question - it's possible, but unlikely.
While 5/24 is known, Chase also uses other algorithms to spot trouble. Since 2008, banks are trigger happy. While there's been less shooting from the hip lately, you still need to make yourself a small target. Five Chase cards in 10 months isn't doing that.
Not to mention the large credit bubble going on right now.
