Hi there, I have a question for the TP run masters:
We have booked a flight OSL-LHR-JFK-LAX-LAS/ LAS-LAX-JFK-LHR-OSL
Now - due to a schedule change - AA has 'optimized' my route to OSL-LHR-JFK-LAX-LAS/ LAS-LHR-OSL
What do you suggest?
1. Shall I ask for original routing back, as it also includes A Class LAX-JFK?
2. If not, the route they offer now would have been much cheaper if booked so from the start?
3. And, lastly, what happens to TP earning?
Thanks for your advise.
No problem, AA can handle this in the way you wish
They are exceedingly helpful when you call.
1. Yes, you can ask for the routing you wish (including getting back those A-class on the transcons) - but be prepared with your itinerary that you want
before you make that call
2. If the routing is now cheaper, then ask for a full refund, then book the routing as a fresh booking - no problem with this
3. If you want to guarantee maximum TPs, it is always best to fly the sectors that will generate them (rather than relying on the possibility of ORC - original routing credit - which may or may not be provided)
Hope this helps
