In the end, all AB/HG aircraft had been leased. So the "buyer" is not buying them, but seeking to enter the lease contract - probably asking for changes of the terms. This is in the interest of the insolvency administration, as it reduces the claims from the lessor. However, as the takeover of LGW by EW/LH and the takeover some AB planes by U2 shows, this renogotiation may take some time ... that's why many of the birds are still parked at BER. BA/VY was cautious enough not to propose inception of their services anytime soon!
