I really wish my company allowed F purchase on Domestic itineraries. More often than not, I DO buy F/J for personal travel but for work trips I have to rely on the long-shot upgrade coming through.
If your company policy doesn't forbid it, you could always upfare out of pocket. The difference is often quite reasonable.
