Checking Cathay's web site and I'd get 100% Asia Miles for a V class fare:

Economy Class (100%) : Y, B, H, K, M, L, V
Economy Class (25%) : S, N, Q

I'm likely to be using Cathay more in the future but is this type of behaviour normal within OneWorld?
It seems to go against the spirit of the programme.
What's going on?

As you have done need to check the MH web site to determine what MH allocate for CX flights

CX is well known in OW airlines for award nil or a low % ff miles for many discount cheaper flights.
